Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of these terms

By using NeedTools you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the service. If you use NeedTools on behalf of a company, you confirm you are allowed to accept these terms for that company.

2. What NeedTools costs

Every tool is free. There is no paid plan, no trial and no credit card. Visitors who are not signed in have modest daily limits so the service stays available to everybody; creating a free account lifts those limits. Current limits are shown in the tool itself when you reach one.

Because the service is free, we may adjust limits, or change and retire individual tools, in order to keep NeedTools running.

3. Your account

Use a real email address, keep your password to yourself, and do not share one account between many people. You are responsible for what happens under your account. Tell us promptly if you think someone else has access to it. You must be at least 13 years old to register.

4. Your files and your content

Your files and your content remain yours. We claim no ownership of them. You confirm you have the right to process the material you upload or link to.

For features that are public by nature, such as short links, bio pages and splash pages, you grant us the limited permission we need to store and serve that content to the people who visit it. That permission ends when you delete the content.

5. Output is yours to use

Files, QR codes, converted documents, compressed images, hashes and text produced with NeedTools are royalty-free for personal and commercial use, with no attribution required.

6. Acceptable use of links, bio pages and splash pages

Redirects are easy to abuse, so these rules are strict. You must not create a NeedTools link, QR code, bio page or splash page that points to or promotes:

• malware, viruses, or any file intended to damage a device
• phishing, fake login screens, or anything designed to steal credentials, card numbers or personal data
• fraud, fake shops, investment or cryptocurrency scams, or deceptive earning schemes
• child sexual abuse material, or any sexual content involving minors, without exception
• content that incites violence, terrorism, or hatred against a group of people
• pirated software, films, music, books or any material that infringes someone else copyright
• unsolicited bulk messaging, whether by email, SMS or messaging apps
• cloaking, meaning showing our review system one destination and real visitors another

You also must not attempt to break, overload or probe the service, bypass usage limits with automated scripts or many throwaway accounts, or resell NeedTools as if it were your own product.

7. Enforcement and reporting

We may disable a link, page or account that breaks section 6, and for serious cases such as malware or phishing we will do so without notice, because the harm falls on the people who click. We may also cooperate with a lawful request from an authority.

If you have found a NeedTools link being used for abuse, please report it to abuse@needtools.app with the full short address. If you believe your own link was disabled in error, write to the same address and we will review it.

8. Using the API

API keys are personal to your account. Do not publish a key or embed it in a public web page or mobile app, and rotate it if it leaks. Each key has a daily call allowance, and we may throttle or suspend a key that threatens the stability of the service. Everything in section 6 applies to links created through the API exactly as it does in the web tools.

9. Third-party pixels and integrations

If you attach your own Meta, Google Analytics or TikTok pixel to your pages, you are responsible for using it lawfully, including giving your visitors any notice or consent their local law requires. You agree to cover any claim that arises from a pixel you added.

10. Availability

We work to keep NeedTools fast and online, but we do not promise uninterrupted service. Maintenance, provider outages and faults happen. Keep your own copy of anything important; do not treat NeedTools as your only backup.

11. No warranty

The service is provided as is and as available, without warranties of any kind. We test our tools, but we cannot guarantee that every conversion will be perfect for every file. Check important output before you rely on it.

12. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, NeedTools is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential loss, including lost profits, lost data or business interruption, arising from your use of the service or your inability to use it.

13. Ending the agreement

You may stop using NeedTools and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms. When an account is closed, its links and pages stop working, so move anything you still need first.

14. Copyright complaints

If content reached through NeedTools infringes your copyright, email abuse@needtools.app with the address in question, a description of the work, and a statement that you are the rights holder or authorised to act for them. We remove infringing material when a valid notice is received.

15. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Bangladesh, and the courts of Bangladesh have jurisdiction over any dispute, unless the consumer law where you live gives you a stronger right.

16. Changes and contact

We may update these terms as the service grows, and the date at the top will change with them. Continuing to use NeedTools after an update means you accept it. Questions go to support@needtools.app.
